The Dunkin' Donuts-Pop Tarts Collaboration Kind Of Sounds Legit

There’s no other way around it: breakfast during the week is tough. You’re not awake early enough to make yourself a decent breakfast, and anything pre-packaged just tastes kind of stale and sad. You can always hit up a drive-thru, but anything worth stopping at has a fifteen-minute line at the bare minimum (looking at you, Chick-fil-A and Starbucks), and anything else honestly just isn’t worth it. More often than not, I settle for an office breakfast of free break room coffee with the knowledge that I’ll most certainly be taking an early lunch by 10:30 at the latest.

However, that might all be about to change, because a new breakfast collaboration we never knew we needed is about to hit the shelves. Pretty soon, you’ll be looking forward to grabbing a package of Pop-Tarts out of the vending machine, because the breakfast toaster pastry giant has collaborated with Dunkin’ Donuts to come up with specialty coffee flavored treats. You’ll be able to purchase both vanilla latte and chocolate mocha flavored Pop-Tarts, and while I remain hesitant about the taste of any breakfast food that comes out of a plastic wrapper….these actually look pretty delicious.

Dunkin' Donuts-Pop Tarts

It’s no secret that, in my opinion, Dunkin’ doesn’t hold a candle to most other donut suppliers, but coffee-flavored, sugar-packed breakfast treats are definitely something I can get behind. While my preference is and always will be a Chick-fil-A original biscuit and frosted coffee, for those mornings when being the 18th car in a drive-thru line just isn’t feasible, a package of Pop-Tarts might be in order for the first time since high school. I’m all for nostalgia, so getting a blast from my past reimagined and catered toward my age group? You know I’m buying into it. Now we just have to figure out how to make Furbys, Tamagotchis, and Gushers appropriate for people in their 20s, and I might actually be in a good mood for the first time since I started working.
