The Creators Of Arthur Are Pissed About All Of These Memes

Who among us wasn’t an Arthur fan growing up? In elementary school, all I did before and after school was crush episodes of Arthur and Recess. Both great television shows in their own right. I could catch one, maybe two episodes of “Arthur” before getting on the bus and slogging through whatever it is I did as a third grader. Arthur, D.W., and Buster gallivanting around learning valuable life lessons and caring for each other was awesome. The theme song? A heater if I’ve ever heard one.

As everyone is aware by now, Arthur memes are taking the internet by storm. D.W. and Arthur fucking (despite the fact that they are brother and sister), Buster just being a certified mack, and that bitch Muffy, well, just being a bitch. That one actually rings true. Muffy was the worst. And while the world gets a nice haughty chortle out of a kids tv show getting turned into smut memes, the creators are none too pleased.

“Our hope is that Arthur and his friends will be depicted in a way that is respectful and appropriate for all audiences, including young Arthur fans and their families,” the spokesperson continued.

Look, I get it. Arthur is a wholesome ass show for wholesome ass kids. But it hasn’t been relevant since I was in grade school. Kids today aren’t watching Arthur. The creators should be fucking grateful that Arthur and his pals are getting revived as memes. It’s all in good fun and millennials are the only people who remember this show.
