This is where the military has it right: Very Respectfully/VR to superiors, Respectfully/R to peers.
My company requires the sign off “Truly Yours” for clients and I refuse to use it. If that’s ultimately what gets me fired, then so be it.
That seems awfully intimate.
Using “very truly yours” after a snarky letter is a go-to for lawyers, makes me chuckle when the letter is especially scathing
Cheers is only acceptable if your British or just have a toast.
I sign every email with “all the best”. Hasn’t let me down yet.
Just do “yours”
Most of my colleagues seem to use Cheers
I think I’m going to stop putting anything at all. Just leave it at my absurdly long required signature.
