I’m guilty of being the person somewhat sick in the office. My reasoning is we are allowed to work remote and if I tell you I can get my work done but don’t want to get people sick, take me at my word. If not I’ll show you by being in the office.

We get 1 wfh day per week. If I’m sick 2/3 days and probably contagious but not shitting myself, I’m coming into work if I can’t wfh those other days. I’m not burning PTO because I have aches and maybe a fever.
I don’t understand this concept of not having a sick time and vacation time. Having it all lumped into one category of PTO sounds truly barbaric.
I also have the “one category” of PTO, its kinda nice, you never feel like you have to pretend to be sick to get a day off
I don’t understand having sick time from vacation time. If you are not at work for any reason, sick or otherwise, you are getting paid to be off. Why have to delegate what it’s for?
It’s so you don’t horde all of the time for vacation time. Actually use sick days for what they are intended for.
I totally get that. My boss makes me send a list of what I worked on when I work from home. However, he doesn’t seem to give a shit when I’m in the office
