We’ve seen Trainwreck. We’ve seen the Last Fuckable Day. And yes, we’ve seen her Football Town Lights sketch criticizing America’s rape culture.
But what’s gotten lost in the mix in Amy Schumer’s abrupt rise to fame is what actually got her to where she is today: her stand-up. Luckily, her HBO stand-up special — Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo — premieres tomorrow night at 10 (and for all of us to watch on repeat using our friend’s login on HBO Go and HBO Now).
To prepare for this reason to stay in on a Saturday night, I decided to take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of her old stand-up sketches and specials to know what I was in for. Luckily, I wasn’t disappointed.

Amy Schumer is absolutely awful. She exists because Comedy Central refuses to let us forget she was once mildly funny.
