File this away in the “Best News Ever” folder. According to Variety, Seth Rogen and his production partner Evan Goldberg are teaming up with Adam DeVine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson from Workaholics to make a movie together. Kyle Newachek, who co-writes and directs most episodes of Workaholics and plays the character of Karl, will direct the movie.
The project is currently untitled and details about what the movie will be about are being kept under wraps, but it has been made clear that it will not be related to Workaholics.
Legendary Hollywood producer Scott Rudin is also joining the fray. Rudin’s most recent films include Captain Phillips, The Social Network and Moneyball. If this movie has a Tom Hanks or Brad Pitt cameo, I might just ask them to bury me right where I stand after I watch it.
The fourth season of Workaholics debuts in January on Comedy Central and has already had its fifth season picked up by the network, so I’m assuming we’ll see this movie sometime in 2015. Can’t wait.
This news is VERY tight butthole.
