The elusive secrets to foursomes: https://t.co/XJTkJra5cY#RyderCup #GoUSA pic.twitter.com/v85ds4GjOH

The United States hasn’t won a Ryder Cup in Europe since ‘93, folks. 1993! I was barely a year old the last time an American has hoisted the Cup on foreign soil. Call it bad luck, bad juju, I don’t know. There’s something in the water over there that makes guys like Sergio become unbeatable.
When they announced that this years Cup was going to be played in Paris I kind of balked at the idea of doing it there. I mean I understand that it’s technically being held in a suburb of Paris, but still…I didn’t even really think they had golf courses there.
France is a place far better suited for cigarettes, sordid love affairs, and backing down from confrontation than it is for sporting events, but it is what it is. If the powers that be in the governing body of golf want to have the Ryder Cup in Paris I can deal with that. But something tells that this year is going to be more fiery than usual.
This is a very fun event, and we’ve seen guys really start to play along with the crowds. Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy come to mind.
Over the years American crowds have been notorious for heckling European players to the point of complete mental breakdown.
While I don’t think the Cup holds the same weight as The Masters or The Open, it’s still one of my favorites. I’m sorry if that offends but that’s just how I feel.
So yeah, that ‘93 stat is despicable. Disgusting, even. And while I have high hopes for our American brethren this year (especially with the resurgence of El Tigre) I can’t help but feel more strongly about the U.S. apparel than the U.S.’s chances of taking home the goods on enemy territory.
This apparel, as always, is flames, and I want in – my only question is am I allowed? We’ve all heard the Touching Base crew talk about protocol for wearing stuff from golf tournaments. If you’re physically at the tournament and you buy some stuff, you’ve got to wait until after the fact to wear it.
I just don’t know how I feel about ordering tournament apparel to an event that I’ve never been to. I like how The Masters does it where you can’t buy the shit unless you’re physically there.
I get that you can have a buddy buy it for you but that just feels like you’re cheating yourself more than anything. No one should be walking around with Masters apparel on if they haven’t actually been to Augusta National.
My question is does the same hold true for Ryder Cup apparel? Because this is a totally different animal. It’s not like I can hop on a plane and just go to Paris to watch this. Technically I could, but come on. I can barely make rent and pay for cable/ wifi. I want to pull trig on this exact look. It truly does not get more intimidating than this right here.

I just feel like it’s a little bit taboo if I’m not physically there. The PGA website has a slew of Polo RLX technical gear and the more I’m looking at it the more I’m falling in love.
The early wake up time to watch Phil and Tiger in a wildcard will be so much easier if I have some officially licensed Ryder Cup USA gear to throw on while I cook up a couple of over easies and a fat pot of coffee. I need to get out of my own head and just do it. I’m 27 years old, and if I want a 100 dollar polo I can have one. Aesthetics and arbitrary rules about tournament golf apparel be damned..

Very rarely does something speak so directly to my soul.
Do they make women’s blouses with Ryder Cup logos on them?
Lol
I have a sweatshirt from the last Ryder Cup. I haven’t been to Minnesota in 10 years. Do it for America
Imagine what Dillon would say if he saw you walking around in a Masters cap
USA! USA! USA!
