If there’s one thing we’re all are good at, it’s knowing more about other people’s lives than their own. We spend more time browsing our newsfeed than we do filing TPS reports. Is it addictive? Yes. Is it depressing? You betcha! Plus, it doesn’t help that our phones are constantly blowing up with notifications about what’s going on in Zuckerberg’s online palace. So of course, we’re going to constantly check it out.
Although, what would it look like if Facebook provided honest and realistic mobile alerts? I think it would make things a lot better for us. And by better, I mean productive.
