Your college party days are over
and you’ve stepped into the real world.
It kind of snuck up on you.
You thought you’d feel more mature at this point.
But you’ve gotta gear up and get ready to take on this new life.
Because the next time you run into college friends, you feel like you’ve gotta impress.
So you go to job interviews.
It takes a while, but you finally land a job.
You’re feeling like you’ve got it made, and you’re loving the benefits.
But it doesn’t take long until you have a quarter life crisis and wonder if you should be doing something else. You feel like old age is coming at an alarming rate.
You attend wedding after wedding,
and you’re still single.
Because you seem to only get hit on by creeps in the real world.
You start to get desperate
And an ever-changing metabolism doesn’t help your confidence.
You find yourself trying ridiculous diets.
On top of that, you begin to really miss your friends.
But when you do reunite, it’s like you never left each other.
And they tell you exactly what you needed to hear.
You begin to feel really great about yourself, especially when you see someone who got pregnant.
Then you realize your life is right on track
It’s a bumpy road, this post grad life.
But you learn to appreciate the little things
And you eventually find yourself.
You realize it’s not about the job,
Or the money,
Or being cool.
It’s about finding happiness.
Whatever that may be.
