Letterman
The biggest event that took place last night in late night was the return of the great Dave Chappelle, who all knew and loved from “Chappelle’s Show“. To promote his upcoming run of shows at Radio City Music Hall, Dave sat down with the other prominent Dave in comedy, David Letterman, marking his first appearance on “The Late Show” in a Decade. Letterman, not known for pulling any punches, asked him bluntly why he walked away from one of the most popular and lucrative shows on television so abruptly.
It doesn’t get much better, or more candid, than that. If you’re going to see Chappelle at Radio City, well, color me incredibly jealous.
Fallon
Shifting gears from the Ed Sullivan Theater over to 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Jimmy Fallon sat down with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels on The Tonight Show and brought back his fan-favorite “Real People, Fake Arms” bit with the “Dumb and Dumber To“ stars. It’s pretty damn funny.
They also premiered the official trailer for “Dumb and Dumber To”. Check it out HERE.
Kimmel
The master of the viral video, aired one of his now-famous “Game Night” primetime specials, as well as a show that aired after the games. Dude is a work horse.
He “sat down” with Kobe Bryant to ask him “3 Ridiculous Questions.”
Played a game with the audience, “Can Michael Jordan Palm It?”
And issued his latest YouTube challenge to the audience, “Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I Hopped on Pop.”
Late Night with Seth Meyers
Seth Meyers sent Fred Armisen into New York City to look at statues:
Conan
Conan took another run at Buzzfeed and noticed they’re running out of lists:
Great. Now even my procrastinating has been streamlined.
