As we all know, Valentine’s Day was this past Saturday. Valentine’s Day or “The Day All Of My Friends Got Engaged And I Didn’t” as it is now known at my house, is the day of love — and on this day of love, it is expected that you show your loved ones how much you care for them in the form of cheesy cards, stale chocolate, and overpriced flowers. Unfortunately for many, after shelling out the big bucks for said overpriced flowers, they got royally screwed over by national flower delivery service, 1-800-Flowers. Despite the website showcasing beautiful (and expensive) floral arrangements and promising that what you see is what you get, many who ordered were left asking “what the fuck is this?” as they looked at their $80 bouquet of roses. Going against everything that Valentine’s Day is supposed to represent, the company delivered dead, wilted, or frozen flowers to customers. You know, because nothing says “I love you” quite like a vase full of thorned sticks.
Unsurprisingly, people were pissed and took to social media to complain. Unlike all of the men who didn’t end up getting laid as a result of sending their girlfriends dead flowers, 1-800-Flowers now has quite the mess to clean up.

If this situation has taught us anything, it’s that it could be worse. You could be doing customer service right now for 1-800-Flowers. .
