We all know time travel is not a particularly foreign concept in HBO’s Game of Thrones, but this latest Littlefinger news feels a lot more like a blunder and a lot less like a twist.
In season six, episode four — two episodes ago — a GoT superfan caught Littlefinger wearing a 21st-century timepiece that probably wasn’t supposed to be on his hand.
Take a look:

We all know Lord Baelish worked his way up from nothing, with only a brothel in his pocket and an unquenchable sexual thirst for the Stark ladies. Operating as a puppeteer for the North in the shadows, he is one of the few characters who has legitimately risen from a nobody to the top tier of society — a tough road to take in Westeros. If it wasn’t for that ridiculously stupid accent, he would almost be a likable character.
I love the fact that he forgot to take his watch off. It adds another element of suspense to the show. Has Littlefinger been to the future? Does he know what modern civilization is like? Is he particularly interested in our Rolex watches? George R.R. Martin is probably fumbling over his words trying to explain this one.
For a show that is so extremely meticulous in its details, this seems like a pretty colossal fuck up. Luckily for them, nobody really noticed during the show — and it’s taken two weeks for it to hit the news cycle.
Keep an eye on Littlefinger’s wrists for the rest of the season. We still can’t be 100 percent sure this was a mistake..

Gallet & Co. clock and watch making dates back to 1466. Just gonna assume they had a shop in Westeros back in the day.
Little finger is a clock stopper- which explains how he travels so fast.
Game of Thrones is nerd trash.
Some people love trash.
Don’t try to ruin this for us. It’s just not nice.
You’re an engineer and calling someone else a nerd?
I believe they call that “the pot calling the kettle black.”
Most popular TV show of all time, yeah it’s nerd trash. Tell us all how cool you were in high school.
Yeah? Well, you know, that’s just like, your opinion, man.
