Who doesn’t love a good, old-fashioned Krispy Kreme donut? While they don’t get the attention and popularity that some of the larger donut chains do, such as Dunkin Donuts, you have to agree that they produce one hell of a donut. Much better than their contemporaries, and quite possibly the best chain donut store on the market. The donuts always taste fresh out the oven and have that warm, gooey glaze on them that’s enough to send even the healthiest eater into a diabetic coma. There’s a reason why they call it “Angel Jizz.” Wait, nobody does that? Just me? Okay.
Well, if you want to start your day off with some heavy-breathing and the desire to lick your computer screen, look no further than this massive box of 2,400 Krispy Kreme donuts that the crafty cruller confectioners just cranked out.
Okay, try and contain yourselves.
The box was delivered to a UK Company, 360 Resourcing Solutions, as a PR stunt to advertise their new “Krispy Kreme Occasions” division that aims to create custom donut offerings for corporate events or special occasions. I know I wouldn’t hate having a bunch of donuts with my face on them for my wedding…or my future, hypothetical wife’s on them for my divorce party.
360 Resourcing Solutions won the contest by tweeting the most about the promo, and the box, which is about 11.4 feet by 3 feet, required eight Krispy Kreme employees to deliver it, said Judith Denby, chief marketing officer at Krispy Kreme U.K. They’re not having any plans to sell the massive box any time soon, but if they did, they estimate it would cost approximately $2,600, or the price of 100 double-dozen boxes. I smell a nice way for Krispy Kreme to turn massiveĀ profits in 2015.
After 360 Resourcing Solutions won, they tweeted the perfect picture for the occasion.
