Hi-C was always a staple for me growing up. I had it in about every lunch that my mom meticulously packed each day. Including the one time in second grade when the grape juice box naturally fermented and I had the most lit elementary school lunch ever. But that aside, one flavor that’s always been a crowd favorite is the deliciously orange Ecto Cooler.
So when I was scrolling through the internet today, I heard some piping hot nostalgic news — Coca-Cola is reintroducing Hi-C Ecto Coolers on May 30th. Yes, the same Ecto Cooler that ghosted on school lunches back in 2001 is back. Originally launched as a promotion for the original Ghostbusters, it served as a lunch staple for over 10 years. Now everything has come full circle and it’s currently being launched as a part of a promotion with Sony and the Ghostbusters reboot hitting theaters July 15th this summer. It will be available for sale in 10 packs of six-ounce juice boxes or 6 and 12 packs of 11.5-ounce cans — and you can bet your bottom dollar your boy is going to be picking up a ten pack of Ecto Cooler sixers.
However, that’s not the only news here. You have a chance to get your hands on some of the good stuff before it even hits shelves. Along with the announcement Ecto Cooler’s return to shelves, they’re introducing a promotional contest where fans will have a chance to win by entering via Twitter and Facebook.
Let all of your friends know Ecto-Cooler is back, just in time to spike with orange vodka at your next 90s-themed party. .

Ecto Cooler mimosas are the new brunch go-to drink.
Ecto Cooler mimosas?!
It’s 2 miles to soccer practice, we’ve got a full bag of orange slices, half a pack of Ecto Coolers, it’s dark… and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it.
Well done
The is the one redeeming thing about the Ghostbusters “reboot.”
It looks unbelievably awful.
This drink alone was responsible for a generation of diabetes and I’m not even mad about it.
I hope it’s coming in a large can like they did in the 90’s
