It’s not quite Thanksgiving, but according to the overlords at Netflix, today marks the beginning of the holiday-viewing season. According to People, “The date is based on U.S. daily viewing data of holiday content compiled from Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2017, with the “start date” identified as the day where the growth in daily viewing of holiday content exceeded three times the daily average for the year,” but let’s be honest – we all know Netflix probably pulled this date out of their asses and we will all fall in line because… well, just because.
Along with the announcement that holiday TV is now officially upon us, Netflix also dropped their holiday programming list, and I’ve got to admit, I’ll be tuning in (when the Hallmark Channel is airing something I’ve already seen, of course).

I need Christmas Vacation to be on this list. C’mon Netflix!
I know it’s not as convenient but I bought the entire National Lampoon’s Vacation dvd package at Target a few weeks back for $8.50. Quite the steal for some classic Chevy Chase comedy.
“The Great British Baking Show: Holidays” already guaranteed to be pure gold.
How is Gilmore Girls, Fuller House or Beauty & the Beast holiday??
Here’s a hot take: white Christmas is not a Christmas movie.
