For those of you drinkers out there who have ever taken a shot then literally wanted to take your shot glass and eat it, this is for you.
From the world-famous, trend-setting, mass-hysteria-over-pastries-creating NYC Dominique Ansel Bakery, also known as the people who brought you the cronut, here comes the next food craze: Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots.
I’ll let that sink in. Edible shot glasses, made of chocolate chip cookies.
How the hell did I not think of this? Oh, that’s right. I’m a bitter, self-loathing postgrad who has no idea how to create anything that might bring another human being joy.
Baker Dominique Ansel came up with the idea for these after eating his first Oreo cookie, which was A COUPLE WEEKS AGO. He’s easily in his thirties. In comparison, I’ve had MULTIPLE Oreos in the last few weeks. But no, he had his first ever Oreo a couple weeks ago. I’m just waiting until he tries Double Stuff. He’ll lose his fucking mind.
According to the Daily News:
“Ansel’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots were inspired by the first time the famed pastry chef tried an Oreo, according to Eater. He had never had one until a couple weeks ago and was informed he should eat it with a glass of milk, a pairing that is not “a natural combination in French culture,” Eater reported. The cookies are said remain ‘crispy and moist in parts,’ even when they hold milk.”
The new dessert will be available at SXSW this Sunday, at a “Cronut After Midnight” event, and the bakery has plans to introduce the shots to its New York City location. Big Apple residents, start lining up now. Quit your jobs, call out sick, drop out of school, do whatever you have to do, just GET THIS DESSERT AND YOUR LIFE WILL HAVE PURPOSE.

the douche in me wants to nit pick this apart… do i drink the milk first? then when i really want the milk, i dont have any! do i drink a layer of milk, eat equal amount of cookie? do i do the whole thing down in one?
