Got strep throat yesterday. My boss asked me if I was still coming in. She was legitimately pissed off when I told her the antibiotics take 24 hours to kick in. PGP.

They’re going to take a lot longer than 24 hours seeing as antibiotics don’t do anything against viruses…
strep throat is caused by streptococcal bacteria. hence the name.
