Star of The Bachelor season 19, Chris Soules, was charged on Tuesday morning with leaving the scene of a deadly crash in Iowa on Monday evening.
According to The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, Soules was driving a Chevy pickup that rear-ended a John Deere tractor around 8 p.m. on Monday evening. The incident took place about 15 miles from Soules’ farm, and after both the tractor and the truck went into the ditch, the former Dancing With the Stars contestant took off. The person driving the tractor was killed; Soules received medical attention as well, after he was arrested around 1 a.m.
Soules was arraigned on Tuesday morning with a bail of $10,000 set. Court documents say “alcoholic beverages or containers were at the scene of deadly crash” and also noted that Soules was convicted of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in 2006, although he has not been charged (yet) with drunk driving in this incident.

Can’t wait for the first season of Bachelor Behind Bars.
After all these years of farming it’s looking like he might be on the receiving end of some plowing for once.
I didn’t like him on his season and everyone gave me a hard time about it. I knew something was up with him… So sad to hear about that man who was killed.
Anyone who has ever been on the bachelor/bachelorette should be arrested tbh.
Hopefully after he goes to prison we won’t have to hear about any updates on his life that nobody cares about.
First of all how the hell do you run into a goddamn tractor? They drive slow af, got their e lights on, and tend to be painted green or in the case of kubotas orange. It takes a real kind of stupid to do that and worse he killed someone and ran off. Hope he gets the book thrown at him and he’s removed from the gene pool.
A possibility, coming from someone who grew up very close to the Soules’s farm, is that the tractor may have been over the crest of a hill, hidden, and taking up the whole road. Chris comes flying over the top of the hill, driving way too fast for a gravel/dirt road (because road beers), sees the tractor too late, plus poor reaction time, and hits the tractor. This story happens quite literally all the time in Iowa. Chris just happens to be Bachelor famous.
