With one week left until Christmas, it would seem that stress levels are at all-time high. Traffic is insane, malls are madness, and I’m pretty sure that the drivers from FedEx and UPS are defying most rules of the road to get all of the crap we’ve ordered online to our homes in time for the holidays. But even though anyone who tried to hit the stores this weekend probably had a rough time of it, there are plenty of people who had an even worse weekend than they – and you – did.
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna
I have to admit that I’m not 100% up on all things Kardashian. You may say that I find it hard to keep up with them. So I had a difficult time piecing together what appears to be a craptastic nightmare for the sole Kardashian man and his baby mama, but let me see if I can break it down:
First, Blac Chyna’s Instagram was hacked early on Saturday and someone put up screenshots of texts and messages, in which she called her fiancé Rob “fat, lazy, insecure” and discussed defying family dictator matriarch, Kris Jenner.
Then, Rob took to snapchat to take us on the world’s most depressing virtual house tour to document how Chyna had taken their baby Dream and King (Chyna’s child with Tyga, who is now Rob’s sister’s boyfriend, cause that’s not messed up at all), along with the furniture from both of their bedrooms.
Finally, Blac Chyna posted (and since deleted) on her new Instagram a lengthy statement, alleging that Kardashian was behind the hack while also claiming she “was verbally abused every other day” during their relationship. Rob then took to his own Instagram to respond.
Here’s a thought, you two…why don’t you go work your shit out with a therapist instead of via social media? Personally, I couldn’t care less about either one of you, but you’ve got an innocent child wrapped up in your fucked up drama, and no kid deserves to live in this kind of shitshow. [Via TMZ]
The Houston Texans
You know that feeling when you buy something that you think is going to be really cool and it turns out to only be “meh”? Well, imagine if you spent $37 million on that thing, which is how much the Houston Texans guaranteed Brock Osweiler when they signed him to a four-year, $72 million contract during the offseason. Which is why it really must have hurt when they benched the underperforming QB on Sunday.
Not that the benching wasn’t deserved. According to The Bleacher Report, Osweiler “entered Week 15 ranked 22nd in Total QBR (56.4), 28th in completion percentage (59.7) and yards per game (204), 31st in quarterback rating (73.4) and 32nd in yards per attempt (5.79).” His appearance in this particular game wasn’t any better: he was picked off twice before he was benched in favor of second string quarterback Tom Savage during the second quarter. The decision turned out to be a good one, with the Texans winning 21-20. But even with the win, the Texans have got to be kicking themselves over $37 million dollars sitting on the bench. Gus Bradley
Another person feeling pretty shitty after the Jacksonville/Houston game? Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley, who was fired after his team’s loss to the Texans.
With a 2-12 record this season, and a 14-48 record over four seasons, Bradley’s dismissal doesn’t come as a total surprise. Although he hasn’t exactly accepted responsibility for his team’s shortcomings; during his tenure with the team, he’s fired two offensive coordinators and one defensive coordinator while trying to find a way to win more than five games a season.
The team owner, Shad Khan (who, given that the team has gone 16-62 during his ownership, should probably keep his mouth shut), issued a statement after firing Bradley, saying,
I thanked Gus Bradley today for his commitment to the Jacksonville Jaguars over the past four seasons. As anyone close to our team knows, Gus gave his staff and players literally everything he had. Our players competed for Gus and I know they have great respect for him, as do I.
Gus also represented the Jaguars, the Jacksonville community and the NFL in nothing less than a first-class manner as our head coach. That counts for a lot. It is unfortunately evident that we must make a change. I thought it would be best to do it immediately after today’s result so Gus can step away, relax and regroup with his family during the Christmas and holiday season.
Or, in other words, “Here’s your pink slip! Merry Christmas!” Seriously, there’s two games left in the season, and let’s be honest, with a 2-12 record, it 100% doesn’t matter who the hell coaches the Jaguars for them. So, personally, I think Mr. Khan is just a Scrooge. [Via First Coast News]
Gift Givers
It’s the holiday season, and that means gifts. I find that there are two kinds of gift givers: those who think they are really good at it, and those who admittedly don’t have a clue in hell what they are doing. While those in the second group are probably hitting panic phase right about now, it turns out that those in the first group may be a bit overconfident.
Lots of people pride themselves on being able to find the perfect, albeit unexpected, gift for their friends and family. But according to a new study, the recipients of those gifts aren’t usually too thrilled. Jeff Galak, associate professor of marketing at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon and one of the study’s co-authors, says, “Givers pick gifts hoping to make the receiver as happy as possible at the moment of the gift exchange, but receivers prefer gifts that will make them happy during the course of their ownership and use of their gift. This one simple dimension captures pretty much all the gift-giving errors that have been documented to date.”
So the moral of the story? Stick to the list. Always stick to the list. [Via CNN]
Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray
You don’t who Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray are? Well, shame on you. Actually, it probably means you have a life that doesn’t involve watching every version of The Bachelor, which makes you a better person than me. Anyway, for the uninitiated, Stanton and Murray are the latest couple from the franchise to call it quits.
The two, who met and got engaged during the last edition of Bachelor in Paradise hinted at a breakup via social media on Friday. Stanton did so with this tweet:
Although, her cover photo is still her, Murray, and her two kids. Murray, for his side, posted this Instagram with Stanton’s daughter:
While neither specifically comments on a break up, the implication is there, and a “source” confirmed it to US Weekly, so it must be true, right? Another one bites the dust. [Via US Weekly]

I don’t follow anything involving them but after reading this we should deport the Kardashians and everyone associated with them.
Except Disick. He’s solid.
I hate the fact he’s so funny and calls the family out on their stupidity and bullshit.
Same. I’ve only seen clips and gifs of it but the guy just doesn’t care. Gotta respect that.
You mean Todd Craines
Made playoffs in all 3 fantasy leagues. Lost in 2 of them already and clinging to hope in my last league with players tonight. The past two years I missed playoffs entirely and it was actually not that bad since FF didn’t have a chance to completely shit all over my Christmas spirit
Idiotically played Arizona’s defense and it’s the reason I won’t be advancing to the championship game.
Loss #1 – Went against Elliot and David Johnson
Loss #2 – Went against Elliot, Bell, and Miami defense
Oh, and my QBs were Stafford and Brady. Merry fuckin Christmas…..
Going for a 5peat next week. I still don’t know how they let me stay in the league
Robert Kardashian (the OJ lawyer) really dodged a bullet by dying from cancer before his miserable family blew up.
How about Frontier passengers stuck in Denver?
Remember when Rob used to be hot? He was always spoiled and lazy, but I’ll never get over hot Rob
Hot Rob was nice.
