The Republican National Convention got off to a very odd start today after Eric Andre was mistakenly pulled up on stage during Alex Jones’ speech outside the convention center in Cleveland. Jones thought that Andre was a contributor on “The Daily Show”. Andre isn’t on “The Daily Show”, but he got up there anyways and made a mockery of Jones’ time on stage which I think is something we can all get behind.
Alex Jones is a prominent conservative conspiracy theorist who’s voice sounds a little bit like he’s been chain smoking cigarettes for a very long time. I personally got a kick out of it, and if you haven’t seen Eric Andre’s “The Eric Andre Show” on Comedy Central you need to check it out. It’s incredibly funny and completely bizarre. He’s good friends with Hannibal Burress, who also appears on his show frequently, and I would highly recommend it. Andre is apparently being filmed at the RNC by Tim Heidecker of “Tim & Eric” fame so hopefully there is more hi jinx to come..

He also repeatedly post pictures of his junk on Instagram. I don’t enjoy it, but you do have to respect the power move
Eric Andre show is on Adult Swim, not Comedy Central
The best part of this is after Jones dismisses him for trying to disrupt it he asks “Are you a tyrannosaurus rex?”
This entire election is highly advanced performance art on acid.
The Eric Andre Show is very underrated for what it is — 15 minutes of nonsensical bullshit that rarely fails to bring about a few chuckles. Its greatness comes from its purity; there’s no underlying political commentary or attempts to push an agenda here, just batshit insane bits.
