We’ve done a lot of these podcasts, and I’m confident that all of them include useful information. That’s kind of the point of this- steer a few people in the right direction, answer a few questions, crack a couple jokes, and hopefully instill some confidence into anyone needing it. If that resonates with you, you should enjoy this week’s episode with Aubrey Marcus, CEO and Founder of Onnit.
If you’re like us and have one foot firmly planted in the Joe Rogan Experience, then you already know about Onnit and Aubrey. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Onnit is all about helping you optimize, and that’s why we wanted to sit down with him. It took a lot for me not to completely breakdown and say, “I’m washed, please help me, Aubrey.” Luckily, I held it together and we laid down a pretty tasty podcast.
There’s a lot to digest, so I decided to give you folks some time cues so you can go back and take notes if needed.
MAPS/Psychedelics/Ayahuasca/Fuck Yeah 14:00
For the un-woke, here’s a little info on MAPS. I’ve listened to so many Joe Rogan podcasts by now that I’m pretty much an expert.
Founded in 1986, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana.
Our highest priority project is funding clinical trials of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) as a tool to assist psychotherapy for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Preliminary studies have shown that MDMA in conjunction with psychotherapy can help people overcome PTSD, and possibly other disorders as well. MDMA is known for increasing feelings of trust and compassion towards others, which could make an ideal adjunct to psychotherapy for PTSD.

I know we posted the video already, but I thought time cues would be helpful. I’m interested in what you think about Onnit’s video production. Feedback very much welcomed.
This is basically like interviewing Joe Rogan, Dave. That’s huge.
When it comes to feedback about the video audio, I think it’s great. I hope yall’s new office and studio have more of this look. I’m used to watching JRE and having a table I think makes for better aesthetics. Look forward to the new ‘tent.
Don’t want, but NEED a reoccurring hibachi segment
Really excited to visit the new office and check out the new digs, guys. Great Podio and video as well
Disappointed y’all didn’t get into nootropics. Otherwise great pody.
