With the cost of college education skyrocketing in the last decade, some students are fed up with being extorted and are resorting to awesome ways to get back at their universities. As was the case with Andrew Magbee, a 24-year-old senior at Southwest Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma who paid his final tuition bill with $974 in pennies. Yep. It was over 500 pounds of legal tender as one final show of appreciation to his soon-to-be alma mater. 97,400 pennies in total.
Magbee said he paid for his education by doing odd jobs and even opening up his own business. “I collected aluminum cans and turned them in for scrap metal,” Magbee said in an interview with KOCO-Tulsa, “I started a little sandwich shop and mowed lawns and I painted houses.
Nothing but respect to those who pay their way through college, especially when you cap it off with a power move like this.

Good for him for making a point I guess, but my last semester’s tuition payment in 2012 at a good state school was somewhere around 5 grand, and I think that’s low compared to a lot of places. I’d have paid $974 dollars with a smile on my face.
I should have did that for every parking ticket I received by the degenerate university parking cops.
