Good Lord, where do I even begin with this one?
Kevin Swanson, the host of “Generations Radio,” a Christian themed, right wing radio show broadcast out of God knows where, took to his radio show to attack Disney’s universally beloved animated film “Frozen.” The movie just won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Song.
Choosing to take “Let It Go” to a whole new level and interpret the film in a way nobody could have thought possible, Swanson argued that the film “indoctrinates” young girls to be lesbians. (The two main female characters are sisters, by the way.)
From Swanson:
“Friends, this is evil, just evil,” Swanson said. “I wonder if people are thinking, ‘You know I think this cute little movie is going to indoctrinate my 5-year-old to be a lesbian or treat homosexuality or bestiality in a light sort of way.’ I wonder if the average parent going to see Frozen is thinking that way. I wonder if they are just walking in and saying, ‘Yeah, let’s get my five-year-old and seven-year-old indoctrinated early.'”
I guarantee nobody thinks that but you, sir.
He then went on to say there was something malicious going on with the release of the movie:
“If I was the Devil, what would I do to really foul up an entire social system and do something really, really, really evil to 5- and 6- and 7-year-olds in Christian families around America?” Swanson asked co-host Steve Vaughn.
“I would make a movie,” Vaughn replied.
“I would buy Disney,” Swanson continued. “If I was the Devil, I would buy Disney in 1984, that’s what I would have done.”
Incredible. Simply incredible. Very specific on what year the devil would buy the international conglomerate, too. We were all more liquid in 1984, I guess.
You can listen to the interview in the link below. I guess there’s something to be said for standing up for what you believe in. Call me a heathen, but I’m gonna blast “Let It Go” on repeat all day. Adele Dazeem, take me away.
