Is nothing sacred anymore? That’s a serious question. Much like fans in Philly with their basketball team, when it comes to love, I’ve always blindly just decided to “trust the process.” My day will come, I just need to find the one. And when I look to couples I want to mold my dream life around, it’s tough for anyone to come nearly as close to ideal couple as Bachelor Ben Higgins and his bride-to-be Lauren B. The way they looked into each others eyes when he was still dating twenty other babes is something that will always melt my heart. But now rumors are swirling that Ben might be cancelling their wedding – which was going to be televised – and now I’m rocking back and forth in a glass case of emotion.
Per Elite Daily:
Things aren’t looking good for lovable couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell. The two found love on Ben’s season of “The Bachelor” and have been tied at the hip ever since. They even started their own reality show, “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After” on Freeform, because the world was so obsessed with their love.
HOWEVER, it doesn’t look like things are all rainbows and butterflies for the cuties. In a new episode preview, it looks like their relationship could be coming to an end.
In the short clip, fans can see a glimpse of Ben and Lauren talking things out in couples counseling. While sitting together, Ben tells his fiancée, “I think you’re ready to start a life. I’m not ready for that — not even close.”
It’s unclear what the two are discussing, but Lauren Bushnell has opened up before about the difficulties of their relationship after “The Bachelor.” Lauren and Ben have had trust issues because Ben told Lauren and contestant JoJo Fletcher at the end of his season he loved them both.
Now, before you go denouncing love and joining the nunnery, it might not be all bad news. For one, this was basically from a teaser trailer, and we all know how producers love to splice and dice to make it look like there’s more drama than there really is. And other sources are also reporting that it might just be a case where Ben doesn’t want the wedding televised anymore.
From The Hollywood Take:
During Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After, Ben admitted that he felt “disconnected” to the wedding planning process.
There have been conflicting rumors on whether Ben’s calling off the whole wedding or just the televised special on ABC. Ben and Lauren are still posting adorable photos on social media and just went on a romantic vacation to Turks & Caicos. So it’s safe to assume they’re still together.
As a result, many fans think Ben wants to get married, but he’s looking to slow things down. “When it comes to me calling the wedding off, I can’t really speak on that at this point,” Ben previously said. “But our life is, right now, really focused on fighting those big battles. We’re very happy. We’re doing very well, and I guess I’ll leave it at that.”
I can’t exactly relate to Benny Boy being disconnected from the wedding process because I’ve both never planned a wedding or expected to want to be overly involved in planning the damn thing. What I can relate to is Ben slowing things down. Why rush? They fell in love and got engaged in a shorter amount of time than it takes for me to decided what show to watch on Netflix, so slowing things down probably helps their relationship long term.
Or it just leaves the window open for JoJo and Jordan Rodgers to break up so Ben can swoop in. Only time will tell. And that’s what makes The Bachelor so amazing. The show might only last for a few months, but the story lines after the fact are never ending..

This is not a knock on you, Max, because you’re fantastic. But when you post Bachelor articles, I just miss Crick Watson. I hope residency hasn’t killed him.
Think of it this way: I’m like your PCP who deals with the day-to-day trivial things. But when you need to bring out the big guns for the actual show, you see your specialist: my man Cricky dubs.
Can you hook me up with a script for some addy?
Cannot relate to Ben “feeling disconnected about the wedding planning” at all. I made sure we had an open bar, tried a few food/cake options, hired a DJ, and couldn’t have cared less about the other details. Let me wife choose everything else because she cared and I know when to pick my battles.
Dibs?
Ben is questioning their relationship, and im questioning why the hell im watching these two on some channel called “freeform”
They are only together for the Instagram endorsements.
Lauren B. is a cute girl, but she just doesn’t have the Dime Factor that a celebrity like Ben deserves.
Ben is a Joe Shmoe. He’s lucky to have Lauren. She’s adorable.
He fucked up. Should have picked JoJo.
