The greatest achievement in hookup convenience technology, Tinder, is about to get its balls sued off. Whitney Wolfe, Tinder’s former VP of Marketing, is suing the company for repeated sexual harassment after claiming she was fired due to a failed relationship with a big wig at the company.
Wolfe alleges that Tinder CMO Justin Mateen openly called her a “whore” in front of colleagues and that she wasn’t recognized as a founder because she “was a girl”. Mateen’s really going for the cycle here. He also sent Wolf texts and emails referencing a “liberal lying desperate slut” and “middle age muslim pigs”. If that wasn’t enough, Mateen also said he wanted to have sex with the wife of a prominent blogger (don’t look at me, I’m not married) and that he didn’t want boys dating Wolfe because being the co-founder of a hookup app made her “slutty”. HR golden child, this one.
Mateen went on to put Wolfe through a six-month dating trial period to see if she was worthy enough to be with him and had changed her “slutty” ways. He’s a ladykiller, that’s for sure.
