Interning on the Street is notorious for long hours, tedious work, and all-around enslavement. Some kid croaked last year after working three days straight. So it makes sense why these kids need a safe forum to vent. Wall Street interns have taken to an anonymous app called Yik Yak to talk shit about everyone and everything.
Yik Yak is a comment forum for users to say something safely behind their internet anonymity which would typically end with a class ring in their suck holes. It’s really popular in middle schools, for obvious reasons.
Most of the smack talking is actually pretty funny and targeted mostly at Goldman Sachs.
Is it embarrassing how much at laughed at these terrible jokes? Weirdly not. This is what postgrad life amounts to—making fun of the way people eject USB devices.
Unfortunately, due to the innate nature of the app, it is unconfirmed if the comments are actually posted by Wall Street employees or interns. Anyone within the GPS radius can participate and the rumor mill is murmuring about Columbia students having their way with Yik Yak and a greased up door knob.
