Our worst nightmare has come true. Chipotle is about to raise their prices. Yep. It’s happening, folks. The world is changing and the value of a hard earned dollar just doesn’t carry the weight it used to, like when guacamole was just 80 cents. The crazy popular lunch, dinner and everything in between spot is about to raise prices by anywhere from three to five percent due to rising food costs, but more importantly because they just fucking can. This is ‘potle’s first price hike in three years and is expected to happen within the coming weeks. So get ready.
CEO Steve Ells says that customers won’t really care about the price and care more about the experience. He also says they’ve “still got room” for more price increases in the future.
Two questions: Who do you think you are? What gives you the right?
This sucks. Sure, it might amount to about 50 cents per burrito and bowl, but if you eat at Chipotle regularly, that’s gonna add up. Soon, we’ll all be broke at the hands of Chipotle. Maybe this was the plan all along. Get us hooked on their delicious, reasonably priced food and then just price gauge the shit out of us once we’re fully dependent on pinto beans and barbacoa.
So this is how it ends. This is where it all falls apart.

Some people just want to watch the world burn…
Maybe this will finally convince me to ask for a raise.
Tofu, raising prices, not letting me steal Tabasco… you’re showing your true Communist colors, Chipotle.
I…I trusted you chipotle. And now you lay this shit on me?
Q’DOBA is better because: rewards program, menu variety, queso, and the Coke freestyle machines. Plus Cholula goes way better with a burrito than Tabasco.
At first, I thought, “hey, at least it’s not as steep as my rent hike” only to do the math on $0.50 per avg. weekly burritos, per month…
Well, shit.
Wow considering they haven’t raised prices in 3 yeOH FOR FUCKS SAKE WHYYYYY
….Welcome to Moe’s
This move has been a long time coming. The CEO basically said this was happening when they reported their earnings last quarter.
I love Chipotle’s food as much as the next guy, but I stopped eating it when they came out with their “Farmed and Dangerous” crap. Damn hippies!
