High Frequency Trading, AKA “HFT,” has been getting huge press lately. It’s been happening on Wall Street for years now, but the best-selling author of “The Blind Side” and “The Big Short” is taking aim at Wall Street and HFT in his new book “Flash Boys.” He breaks it down with Jon Stewart, calling HFT “rigged” and blasting the Canadian behind it all, Brad Katsuyama. Lewis is going scorched earth on HFT. He’s already been on 60 Minutes and went toe-to-toe with Katsuyama on CNBC on Tuesday.
FYI – Katsuyama is the guy that figured out the issues HFT caused and created an exchange to try and eliminate it. He’s on Lewis’ side. Still a Canuck though. The guy there were going against on CNBC was William O’Brien.
