Who said VHS technology is irrelevant? Apparently it can get you thrown in the slammer, as in the case of 27-year-old Kayla Finley from South Carolina. Finley rented “Monster In-Law” in 2005 and apparently forgot to return the damn thing. This resulted in a $2,000 dollar fine her spending the night in jail.
The owner of the video store filed a complaint a few years ago and apparently there has been a warrant out for Finley’s arrest since then.
In case you were wondering, a VHS copy of “Monster In-Law” currently sells on eBay for 50 cents.
Finley posted her entire story on Storify:
I thought she would have a funny story about her experience… Nope. She just sounds like someone who had kids too early, didn’t go to college, and believes the world is out to get her. I could be wrong. I’m just a hater, apparently.
She sounds like a “winner”
After reading her rant, I wholeheartedly back the decision made by police
