My calendar over the next few months is filling up quickly, so weekends like the one I’m about to have are necessary. I will be, for the most part, doing nothing. Nothing at all is on the books for tonight, though I wouldn’t turn down a squad dinner/early night in somewhere.
Since I wasn’t able to see the old man on Father’s Day, we’re making up for it on Saturday. I’ll be heading to my sister’s for a poolside barbecue. Should be fun.

We’re moving all our shit into boxes and throw stuff in the trash and taking stuff to Goodwill. Then after the movers move our shit, we’re going to take a few things out of the boxes and leave the rest strewn across the house for a couple months before we finish unpacking.

Sunday is going to be the big fun day for me as I am going to be volunteering with the pride parade here in Chicago helping out with my friends marching band distributing water! I work tonight and tomorrow afternoon.

Tonight in what has become a routine father-son bonding two step, walking from my apartment to El T for some fajitas and ritas, then grabbing an Uber to watch the best team in baseball live at Minute Maid for a Father’s Day present.
Saturday got a lifelong friend’s going away party, and it will be the first time my buddies have met the new lady friend. Should be easy least given our penchant for booze, but T and Ps are appreciated.
Sunday trying to salvage the minimal tan for pasty ass is capable of while taking in a book or two.
