The first edition of “Things Girls Do After Graduation” came out on May 1st, 2015. It was my first full day as a writer here, and it was an idea that was hatched a couple weeks before. Since that very first one, I’ve released at least one per week, largely and almost exclusively on Wednesdays. Christmas, Independence Day, mid-vacation – you can fact check it. I haven’t missed a week.
But now, it’s time for an announcement.*
After 150 of these, it’s time to take a break. Yes, a break. It’s not you, it’s me. Before you get all up in arms and comment, “How could you let them get engaged and then just take a break?”, allow me to explain.
This isn’t a long break by any stretch of the imagination. It could be as little as three weeks, it could be as long as six weeks. I don’t know yet. But what I know is that on the heels of the single-most important week we’ve had with it, it’s time to regroup, strategize, and make an outline for what the series is about to become.
I’ve known I was going to do this “break” for a while now but I didn’t want to do it before a proposal occurred. A proposal was, for all intents and purposes, the main goal of this first leg of this series. And now we’re here.
This break does, in fact, come at a very convenient time for all of us. You’re busy. I’m busy. The holidays are a whirlwind and, to be completely honest with you, fewer people read the site (and the series) around this time than during normal work weeks. It’s the perfect opportunity to take a step back and hit the ground running come the new year.
In the meantime, catch up if you haven’t already. Or just keep hate-commenting about how spineless Todd is for proposing. Either works for me. .
*Big ups to anyone who thought this was a book deal announcement, which has been a question I’ve been asked more than anything as of late. My inbox is open, Penguin.

At the risk of losing my man card, if you ever want to read a book series told from the perspective of Girl, check out Bitter Is The New Black And the follow on books. In my defense I ran out of books on a vacation and my wife had finished it, so… it was more entertaining than I expected.
I sent this to Will, but about a year ago while procrastinating for finals I compiled all TGDAD/TCOT into one document. Primarily to make it an easier/quicker way to navigate through the whole series for my GF, now fiancee.
Well, I just finished semester 3 of grad school, so naturally I took some time to compile again instead of study. Total word count is at 151,752 and pages are at 539.
I’m just bummed I’m posting this comment 6 hours after the post went up, because I know it’s not as likely to get seen or appreciated by all us fans.
So I’m gonna need you to go ahead and send me that document. Immediately.
Team “page clicks” over here, don’t wanna stop any revenue coming to Grandex/PGP. Unless Will, Dave, etc. give an all clear with their blessing.
