If you haven’t read the story of Astros catcher/DH Evan Gattis I recommend you start here and then work your way deeper. Guy has an incredible underdog story and is one of the least likely World Series champs of all time. I was fortunate enough to be his teammate his one year in college and this couldn’t have happened to a better dude.

Stranger Gives Barbershop To Man Who’s Been Cutting Hair For The Homeless

Brennon Jones has been giving haircuts to homeless citizens in Philly for over a year, which is already awesome. Somehow this week this story got even more feel-good. A local barbershop owner decided to double the good karma associated with this tale.

“When I found out, well, I needed to be part of that,” Sean Johnson said. “I needed to see what I can do to help.”

Johnson gifted Jones a fully renovated barber shop, completely free of charge, so that Jones could continue his incredible service.

Paying it forward always hits the feels hard.

Home Depot Employee Buys Costume Supplies For Child In Wheelchair

If you can watch this video without tearing up you’re a Sadist.

Aimee Mcilroy of Wake Forest, North Carolina, publicly thanked Valerie Baker on Facebook, after Baker bought nearly $100 worth of materials for 7-year-old Jackson Mcilroy’s wheelchair costume.

This is the most precious thing I saw all week hands down. Jackson Mcilroy is welcome in my trick-or-treat squad every Halloween, and Valerie Baker is the Home Depot employee of the year.

This isn’t recent news as much as it is just the greatest thing I’ve ever come across. This YouTube channel posts videos that are compilations of videos that show: people finding out they’re being adopted, deaf people hearing for the first time, pregnancy announcements, and as seen in the video below, being surprised with puppies.

It’s incredible.

Trick-Or-Treater’s Act Of Kindness

I’ve said previously that I’m a “leave the bowl out guy on Halloween. Naturally this year one kid dumped half my bowl into his, which is the usual. An Idaho trick-or-treater (who as bonus points I think was dressed as Eleven) came upon a situation like this and used it to do a good thing.

A young boy apparently felt bad about the family’s empty bowl so he left behind some of his own hard earned candy for other trick-or-treaters.

Bless you child. Admittedly I was notoriously selfish with my candy as a child, so this sweet act is something that would’ve never crossed mind.

Robertson told KBOI 2News that after he found out the boy’s name and family, he plans to reward his good deed with a little care package of goodies.

Hopefully karma rewards this little guy with a truckload of candy ASAP.

98-Year-Old Mum Moves Into Nursing Home To Take Care Of 80-Year-Old Son

“You never stop being a mum!”

At the ripe age of 98 Ada Keating might be the mum of the year, moving into a nursing home to take care of her son. Getting old is terrifying, but this video is beyond precious.

Ada said: “I say goodnight to Tom in his room every night and I’ll go and say good morning to him.

“I’ll tell him I’m coming down for breakfast.

“When I go out to the hairdressers he’ll look for me to see when I’m coming back.

“When I get back he’ll come to me with his arms outstretched and give me a big hug.

Mums will be mums.

High School Football Player With Cerebral Palsy Scores TD

An Atlee football player with cerebral palsy got the opportunity of a lifetime Friday night when he scored an 80-yard touchdown in Atlee’s game against Varina.

Bonus dad points for the father of the athlete, Sepp Shirley, for doing a Total Dad Move:

This time, Sepp’s father, Hunter, was on the sideline, and he told Gray, no, let them tackle Sepp.

The opposing team, I think for the best, decided everyone would be better off watching Sepp stroll into the endzone with a well deserved touchdown.

4-Year-Old Donates Piggy Bank To Cop With Cancer

Yet again, small children are better than adults.

Many kids save their piggy bank money to buy themselves treats or a new toy. But one 4-year-old girl in Colorado is using her cash to help a local police officer who is battling cancer.

Sidney Fahrenbruch said the decision to donate her money to Officer Kyle Zulauf of the Longmont Police Department was an easy one. “It’s the nice thing to do,” she told TODAY.

Sidney, you’re doing great sweetie. But, even potentially cuter than this kind gesture? What the police department did for her first:

In a way, Sidney is returning a favor to the police department. Earlier this year, another officer, David Bonday, came to her family’s new home after Sidney asked them to check for monsters

The story didn’t say if they actually found any monsters, but regardless that just warms my heart. More news about generous kids like Sidney please. .
