Well, there are two people we all had a better weekend than: Conor McGregor (sarcastically, because I refuse to feel bad for a dude who made $30 million for losing) and the people of southern Texas (seriously –see below). As we head into Monday morning, let’s take a look at some folks who had some pretty crappy weekends themselves, shall we?
Tyga
Do people still care about Tyga since he and Kylie broke up? Well, at least one person who does: Chuon Guen Lee, because the rapper owes her over $2 million.
Lee won a $1.9 million dollar judgment against Tyga over a t-shirt idea they were supposed to develop under a company they were partners in called Last Kings. Tyga’s been avoiding making the payment to Lee, which has now gone up to $2,148,411 with fees, and she went back to court last week to get the sheriff’s help in tracking him down.
Perhaps it’s time for Tyga to get that Maybach he bought Ms. Jenner? Seems like he needs the cash. [Via TMZ]
Boston Sports Fans
Ugh. Just ugh. This was not a good weekend for Boston sports fans such as myself. Our heartbreak is two fold.
First, news dropped on Friday that the blockbuster trade that brought Kyrie Irving to the Celtics may not happen due former Celtic Isaiah Thomas’ hip injury. According to a tweet from ESPN.com’s Adrian Wojnarowski the Cavs are still “evaluating” the injury, which Thomas initially sustained back in March:
Thomas traveled to Cleveland, took exam and flew back out of town, sources said. All players must pass physical, or a deal can be voided.

Then, later on Friday, Patriots WR/extremely hot guy Julian Edelman went down in the pre-season game against the Lions with a knee injury. We remained slightly hopeful that it was not serious, but an MRI on Saturday confirmed the injury to be a completely torn ACL in his right knee that will take him out of the entire season.
Sigh. [Via The Bleacher Report]
Chinese Military
We better not be counting on China to step in if the shit hits the fan with North Korea, because their military is a bit depleted due to some pretty interesting reasons.
According to the BBC, the failure rates on the military’s physical tests have reached an “alarming high” due to soda consumption, video game playing and excessive masturbation.
The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) issued a statement on its official WeChat stream addressing the failure rates and offering ten tips for potential recruits, including cut out fizzy drinks and alcohol, don’t get a tattoo and cut down on computer games and/or masturbating.
Love how they tied those last two together. [Via BBC]
The Weeknd
The Weeknd had a bad weekend? Actually, it would be more accurate to say that fans of The Weeknd had a bad weekend.
The singer was scheduled to perform in LA on Friday night as part of the 20th Anniversary of Grey Goose vodka. But as hundreds of fans showed up at the venue, they were told that the show was canceled. Promoters had sent an email about 30 minutes before the show was due to start stating that “production issues” had led to the cancellation, but most of the attendees were already at the scene and took to Twitter to address their frustration:
@theweeknd @GreyGoose where u at weve been waiting been here for hours #wtf #theweeknd #greygoose

@GreyGoose if u throw a party with the @theweeknd might be a good idea to get a permit | that's why I'll stick with @TitosVodka

Can’t feel bad for Boston sports fans
You missed a solid opportunity to say five people that had a worse weeknd than you. Disappointing.
I might be biased but you left off America’s 4th largest city.
This is where I look stupid for scanning the article.
You’re forgiven….if you donate $10 to the Red Cross.
He should probably spend it on water, being that he’s IN Houston.
Our house thankfully remained dry and with electricity and water the entire time. Very fortunate to be where we are. Just a few blocks over is under 10′ of water.
That is really fortunate, good to hear. The future rainfall totals are still insane though, hopefully it dies down.
How about the guy who bet 75k on McGreggor… It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for ’em.
You’re forcing it with that quote, bud. We already know that it did not, in fact, pay off.
The Chinese military supplements the North Korean military. Our military basically supplements the militaries of other countries with “last year’s models” and we provide them to reverse engineer certain technologies so there is a chance for them to “defend” themselves when we come knocking lol
9/11 was an outside job.
