This is the most Generation Y thing I’ll say today: I’m getting really into web series. Upon hearing that HBO picked up High Maintenance, I began looking at web series in a different light. No longer were they just a couple people stuck behind a camera looking to go viral. There was actual production value, plotlines, and thought that went into the editing process that’s now unforgiving of YouTube’s high-definition capabilities.
And now, I bring to you My 90-Year-Old Roommate, a web series about a mid-20s (or lower-30s? idk.) guy who lives with, well, his 90-year-old grandpa. The series is described as by the following byline: “In 2012 a broke Ethan Cole moved in with this grandfather. This series is inspired by that period.” Desperate times call for desperate measures, and in this case, we got a genuinely funny web series out of it. After all, you can only watch Netflix so much before you run out of shit and have to move to YouTube.
As of right now, there are only three episodes out (all of which we released this morning). Enjoy.
See, I wouldn’t lead you astray. And if you broadcast this from your computer onto your Apple TV, it’s like you’re watching actual television. Technology, I tell ya. .

I also laughed and nearly cried imagining having the chance to do this with my own grandfather
Will don’t you work for a company that has a web series?
I had to watch this from my phone because my computer and TV broke. PGP.
