Professional athletes can run faster, jump higher, move things better, hit things harder, and make more money than us. Besides all of that, they’re no different than us.
Case in point is Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams reporting to training camp overweight, . For a second year running back in the NFL, this isn’t something to take lightly. If powerhouse Eddie Lacy can practically lose his job last season due to weight gain, then a second-year middle-of-the-pack running back has zero job security.
What made Karlos Williams willingly put on the pounds and grow a dad bod this offseason? Apparently something most American males gain 11 pounds on average for: pregnancies. Yes, Williams’ fiancée was pregnant. Football players eat a ton of food, even with in-season diets, so it’s not hard to imagine an unrestricted Williams leaving the house in the middle of the night to get her whatever her pregnancy munchies desired and picking himself up a little (or lot of) food for himself. Maybe a bean and cheese burrito for her, and 3 Crunchy Taco Supremes, 2 Triple Steak Burritos, 1 Volcano Nacho and some Cinnamon Twists for the expecting dad.
Honestly, I’m a little envious of Karlos Williams. He’ll probably lose all that male pregnancy weight in two weeks in training camp; whereas, I know I won’t be able to lose that weight when that day comes. It’s a little difficult to lose weight when I spend the majority of my day in a 6’x6’ cubicle. Just another point for professional athletes over us normal plebeians..

I haven’t had a cinnamon twist in like, a decade. I’m just now realizing that, and it’s horrible
