If you’re looking to buy some overpriced hipster clothing while devouring a slice of pizza, you’re in luck.
On Monday, Urban Outfitters announced that it will be acquiring Pizzeria Vetri, a fast-casual pizza chain from Philadelphia. Yes, you read that right.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love Urban Outfitters as much as any white girl from the suburbs. Probably because I am a white girl from the suburbs. And like all non-psychopathic members of society, I also really like pizza.
But Urban’s move to incorporate pizza restaurants into its stores in the hopes of becoming “lifestyle centers” seems a little much. Urban has been having a tough few months, and they’ve realized that people have started to spend their disposable income on food and lifestyle choices instead of clothes and other material things.
Let’s be real, though – no one wants to try on a pair of skinny jeans after stuffing their face with one too many slices of pepperoni pizza. There’s only one brand that attracts both the basics and the hipsters alike.
And we all know what that is. .

Nice. Now I can grab a slice after I buy a vintage jiffy lube tee and a patchouli and saffron candle.
Still not going to shop at urban outfitters because you can’t wear that crap to work and when I’m not at work I don’t want to look like a hipster douche. Happy Tuesday, though.
