I don’t really see much of the point in the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James debate, I really don’t. And I’m a huge basketball fan. I personally think you have to take the different eras of the game for what they are and leave it at that. Michael Jordan is undisputably the GOAT, but LeBron is arguably the best player playing right now, and like it or not, he’s here to stay. You can argue about titles (MJ’s 6 to LBJ’s 2), MVP selections (MJ’s 5 to LBJ’s 4), All-Star designations (MJ’s 14 to LBJ’s 11), then compare their numbers and argue until the cows come home, and you still won’t have a definitive consensus. It’s just a fun, friendly argument, right?
Usually, unless you’re Daniel Mondelice, a 22-year-old Penn State student, or his roommate, who got into a knock-down, drag-out brawl over the debate between the two superstar multi-millionaire athletes who happen to both wear the same number 23 on their jerseys. The altercation took place early Saturday morning, according to police reports.
From The Daily Collegian:
“At 3:49 a.m. Saturday, Daniel Mondelice, 22, and his roommate began the argument at their Calder Commons apartment, 520 E. Calder Way, the State College Police Department said.
After physically assaulting his roommate, Mondelice was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and simple assault, police said.”
Terroristic threats? What the fuck, really? And this isn’t even the first time this SPECIFIC debate sparked violence; a couple years back, also in Pennsylvania, a Jordan vs. James argument led to someone getting STABBED.
This is where sports fandom crosses a line, at least for me personally. At the end of the day, win or lose, LeBron James gets in a car that costs more than you or I make in five years, goes back to his multi-million dollar mansion in Akron, and sleeps in sheets so fine that, were a mere mortal to touch them, they’d cause instantaneous ejaculation. If the Cleveland Cavaliers lose in the playoffs? James will be pouting the entire flight to Miami (via private jet) to his Miami home to enjoy the off-season and come back ready to tear the head off of whoever knocked him out of it. Michael Jordan probably lives even more lavishly now that he’s worth a billion dollars.
I guess my point is…these guys aren’t really losing sleep over who’s better or who’s not. They’re not beating the shit out of each other in the middle of the night, as far as I know, so why would anyone else do that? Is it worth going to jail for? Probably not.
That being said, 1995-96 Bulls could beat the shit out of the ’13 Miami Heat. Come at me..

I actually enjoyed this article but I have to say #firejaytas on principle
Nothing triumphs Space Jam. End of discussion
Funny thing is that statistically Wilt Chamberlain is the best all-time, and it’s not even really close. He’s got like every single-game and all-time record.
