Remember that scene in season one of “House of Cards” when Peter Russo got pulled over for driving while white girl wasted? Everyone watching it was like, “Oh, shit! He’s going to jail. What happens when a U.S. congressman gets charged with a DUI?” But then we realized that nothing happens when a U.S. congressman gets charged with a DUI. Wanna know why? Because they just don’t get charged. Hell, they don’t even get arrested. One flash of a badge and they’re on their merry way. Off to the next bar…or whorehouse if your name is Kennedy.
Well, apparently that special treatment even extends to the Secret Service, as two members of the presidential detail were caught drinking and driving after they crashed their government car into a White House barricade and were simply told by police officers to go home. A Department of Homeland Security inspector general’s office spokesperson said that they are looking into what happened but refused to comment on an “ongoing investigation.”
Seeing as how the crash occurred on March 4 and they are still “investigating,” I’m pretty sure these guys are off the hook and back to shooting the shit with Obama. Though, to be fair, it is the federal government, so it’s quite possible that this little investigation could take years..

It was sure nice of them to cover for Malia Obama.
The officer actually wanted to arrest and perform field sobriety tests on the 2 intoxicated agents. One of the agents superiors overruled the cop though.
Fun fact: Members of the congress could be doing blow off a hooker’s tits and drinking beer in the car; And they won’t get charged. as long as they’re on the way to, or back from work.
It’s called Speech and Debate clause
Actin’ like elected officials should be subject to DUI laws, shame on you! Shame! Everyone who wins seat in Congress should be completely exempt from any such law for the tenure of their service. That’s the beauty of why Ted Kennedy can scamper away from a car wreck and leave a young lady to drown in his ride while his team conjures up some “plausible deniability.” He oughta be strung up by his thumbs for that.
