Grilling and drinking tonight. Brunch and drinks for the K-State game tomorrow then maybe a jazz and/or art fest tomorrow afternoon. Last weekend in my 20s.
I have to drive to Georgetown from KC a couple times a year and Kiawah’s comment did not make me hopeful that Temple construction would end any time soon. Damn it
It’s easy to say “don’t sweat it” now, but I didn’t have a job until April of my 3L year. Keep it in the back of your mind to apply for stuff, etc., but don’t let it ruin the most fun year of law school.
I went into law school not knowing what I wanted to do, then thought I was going to be a public defender, then sold out and worked for a medium-sized firm and now sold out harder working for a big firm. 0 criminal work, now financial stuff.
I’m not Mindy Kaling, but you’ll be alright. Enjoy 3L
You seem very sold on El Tiempo. My dad and brothers live in Houston (Sugarland) and I’m quite partial to Papasitos. Where’s that on your list so I can make suggestions next time I’m visiting?
At least the Fins have some sort of excuse for the inevitable below-500 season this would’ve been for us regardless of the injury. Looks like it’ll be another 8 years until we earn the chance to get smoked in the wildcard
I go no tie for the summer weddings, but I always wear a blazer. Especially 102? Jacket and tie is too much, and I think the jacket no tie look looks better than tie and no jacket. Granted, I live in the Midwest and there’s almost always at least one person in jeans.
I’ve found not staying out much past midnight regularly on the weekends is helpful. You can still have a great time, but also get up at a normal-ish time without feeling like a train hit you. Granted, I turn 30 in two months, so maybe this is part of the inevitable march to which you referred.
I take cold showers in the summer even with A/C. I run hot and there’s no way in hell I want hot water touching me when it’s 95 with a heat index of 105.
I initially read the headline as “being pretty…” and wondered why Larry David was the picture. It made much more sense after a second read of the headline
I got laid off about 2 years ago and got 2 months (although we only got paid once a month)
I could go for a Frank version of TGDAG. I need more Frank.
Your username/pic gives me a lot of anxiety

In for KC

I knew you lived in Kansas. But I got very excited that you’re a fellow K-Stater

I laughed at “monumentally shitty.” Pun intended, de Fries?
You have not had the greatest couple of Mondays, man
Fuck, the blue pill sounds really god damn good right about now
Because my car is in the front yard, and I’m sleeping with my clothes on, deFries. That’s why.

What if all I have is a spray bottle of sunscreen, but my girlfriend has a bunch of different lotions?
