Boston is stockpiling snow likes it’s the currency of the future. With all those snow days you can imagine how bad they’ve got it in Bean Town. No work, Netflix binges, and DiGiorno on weekdays? Sounds too good to be true.
It’s not difficult to imagine the Netflix stockpile can get exhausted after relentless day-long binges. After cruising through all the best offerings on your ex-girlfriend’s account you begin to realize one simple truth: you need more Cards and you need it now.
In an effort to bring some sanity back to the lives of Bostonians during these unprecedented couch potato days, Northeastern University lecturer Kate Gonso published an open letter to Netflix via The Boston Globe begging Netflix to release House of Cards Season 3 one week early.
“We, the people of Boston, urge you to release the third season of ‘House of Cards’ one week early. We need this. … For two days, we’ve only eaten Campbell’s tomato soup. We’re in our pajamas. We’ve been in them for days.”
Even better, this movement has gained traction and solidarity across the country. “We’re all in this together,” Gonso says. HoC for everybody!
But, with no official response from Netflix, the season premiere is still set for Friday, February 27.
C’mon Netflix. Do it for Boston. But more importantly, do it for me..
