Imagine getting fired from your job but then being told, “But you still need to work for the duration of day.” Fuck that, right? Like, I’d probably just walk out and have an existential crisis in my car in the parking lot. But luckily for the rest of the world, this AT&T employee decided to stick around and document the rest of his day after getting the ax. As explained by Reddit:
Just so every understands what is going on here, AT&T closed one of their call centers and fired all the employees there with zero notice but told them that they had to keep working for the rest of the day.
He recorded several calls on Snapchat and posted it for all of us to see (and get completely inspired by).
My favorites ranged from, “Thank you for making my hotline bling” to him asking if he can transfer a woman to “someone who gives a fuck” only for her to answer “…yeah,” before riding out into the sunset.
As one Redditor commented, “Never fire your dishwasher at the beginning of the night,” if you’re a restaurant owner. I guess the same goes for AT&T call centers. .
